About Mufti Taqi Usmani

Mufti Taqi Usmani, One of the foremost Islamic scholars of our time, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani has authored over 40 books, establishing himself as an authority in Islamic law, Economics, and Hadith. For the past 35 years, he has imparted his knowledge at the Darul-Uloom in Karachi, founded by his father, the late Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti Muhammad Shafi.

Additionally, Mufti Usmani holds a law degree and has served as a Judge at the Shari'ah Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He is renowned as a consultant to numerous international Islamic financial institutions, playing a pivotal role in advocating interest-free banking and facilitating the establishment of Islamic financial institutions worldwide.

Furthermore, he serves as the deputy chairman of the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
