The Qur'an is extant in its original form and is recited by millions of Muslims every day. While the majority of Muslims (over 60%) are non-Arabs and may not speak Arabic, they do learn the Arabic Qur'an and its recitation from their childhood.
 
It is a tremendous inspiration to listen to the (Arabic) Qur'an. Many People have been attracted to Islam simply by listening to the sweet Melody of the Qura'n (without even understand it) and eventually became a Muslim. Maryam Jamilah is one of such people, she was an American Jewish Girl who is now a celebrated Muslim author.
 
The Sweet Melody of the Qur'an recitation has known to reduce or even cure the effects of the modern disease i.e Stress and resulting problems such as depression, hypertension, unrest, tension, headache, insomnia.
 
"Say: whether ye believe in it (the Qur'an) or not, it is true that those who were given knowledge beforehand, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration."   - {TMQ al-Isra 107}
